Changling-Rinpoche-The-Wisdom-Seat

Becoming familiar with primordial purity

A fundamental meditative discipline of the Mahamudra-Dzogchen tradition is Shiné Lhathong – Calm abiding – clear seeing. Through this style of meditation, the practitioner loosens the grip of neurotic clinging, recognizes the nature of mind and gradually becomes familiar with the inherent wakefulness of being a fully realized human being. During this evening session, we will practice Shiné Lhathong and discuss with Changling, Rinpoche, how to bring this practice to fruition.

Teachings on “How to Die”

As Vajrayana practitioners, bringing our training fully alive at the time of death is a profound and defining challenge. And the teachings encourage that, rather than fearing death, we can approach it as an opportunity for deeper awakening. Learning to open to death calmly, wisely and fearlessly is a fundamental human challenge and during this morning session, we will practice Shiné Lhathong and discuss with Changling, Rinpoche, how the teachings can guide us in our exploration of death and dying.

Sun, August 18th

9:30am – 12:30

Restricted to Vajrayana students only
