About the event
In Vajrayana Buddhism, lineage is the living stream of wisdom transmitted from teacher to student across generations. More than a historical succession, it is the direct connection through which the Dharma is preserved and passed on. In this day-long event, we will explore how lineage serves as a source of inspiration and guidance for modern practitioners, and why it remains central to Vajrayana practice today. Drawing on her own deep reflections on devotion and the teacher-student relationship, Jetsunma Jamyang Yeshe Palmo will examine the significance of lineage as well as the role of the student in receiving, embodying, and sustaining the living stream of the teachings.

3 Days of Teachings
The Wisdom Seat is excited to host Jetsunma Jamyang Yeshe Palmo, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher, fully ordained nun, Vajra Master and retreat master. Known for her profound blend of traditional monastic training and modern philosophical education, she bridges Eastern wisdom and Western psychology to teach globally. When Jetsunma was an infant, H.E Beru Khyentse Rinpoche and a group of Kagyu masters recognized her as the reincarnation of Karma Tsultrim Khechog Palmo (Freda Bedi/Sister Palmo), one of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche’s teachers during his time in India and the first woman to receive full ordination in Tibetan Buddhism.
Join us for one, two, or all three days in this weekend of teachings. You do not need to attend all three days to benefit from Jetsunma’s visit.
About Jetsunma Palmo
Jetsunma Jamyang Yeshe Palmo spent nine years in a monastic university program studying all of the major subjects of Buddhism. She then followed her studies by spending nine years in closed retreat. For this reason, Tulku Sangak Rinpoche offered her the honored title of Jetsunma. She is the director of the study and practice centers of Turquoise Leaf Nunnery and Kusum Khandro Ling in Nepal. It is Rinpoche’s hope that she will be uniquely qualified to be entrusted with upholding this dharma lineage in the future. Jetsunma has been living in the U.S. for the last few years, where she previously spent two years studying psychology and Western philosophy at Harvard University. She currently divides her time between living in Montana and New York.
