Podcast Producer/Coordinator
Rate: Competitive, market-rate hourly pay for podcast production/coordination work. This is an independent contractor role, you'll invoice The Wisdom Seat for time and work on an ongoing basis rather than being paid a salary.
Hours: Approximately 3-6 hours/week, flexible schedule, ongoing/recurring work - with potential for increased hours.
This is the person who owns the pipeline from "idea" to "published." You don't need audio or video editing skills, we already have an editor. What we need is someone organized and reliable who can keep track of episodes in progress, coordinate with our editor, upload to our podcast host (Libsyn), write the episode description for both the podcast platforms and our website, help locate and schedule guests, and run a test call a day or two beforehand with the guest and the host (we use Riverside FM) so mics and cameras are working, then check in for the first few minutes of the real interview before logging off.
What we're looking for: strong organizational skills and follow-through, comfort communicating with guests and volunteers professionally and warmly, willingness to learn Libsyn and basic Wix posting (training provided, no prior experience required), reliable availability for a few hours a week, and some comfort with social media (cutting and posting short clips) to help the show find an audience. Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms or a marketing sense is a plus, as is a feel for Buddhist or contemplative communities, though neither is required.

Podcast Editor (Audio & Video)
Rate: Competitive, market-rate hourly pay (roughly in line with typical audio/video editing rates for podcast work). Independent contractor role, invoiced hours.
Hours: Varies by episode volume, flexible, ongoing/recurring work
We're looking for a second editor to work alongside our current one, turning raw recordings into finished, releasable episodes. This isn't only two-person interviews, it also includes things like a single teacher speaking, Mindful Gathering recordings, and similar material. Take a look at our YouTube channel to see the actual range. This role is purely the technical/craft side, it does not include scheduling guests, uploading to our podcast host, or writing episode descriptions.
What we're looking for: real audio/video editing skill, including cleaning up imperfect source material like older or rougher Zoom recordings (we use Descript's Studio Sound feature, but we're open to your own workflow if it gets a comparable result), comfort delivering on a reliable, predictable turnaround, and the ability to pull a few short clips from each episode for social use. A feel for Buddhist or contemplative communities is a plus, not required.

Podcast Marketing & Archive Miner
Rate: Competitive, market-rate hourly pay - open to discussing based on experience (may run higher given the social/marketing skill component). Independent contractor role, invoiced hours.
Hours: Approximately 3-6 hours/week, flexible schedule, ongoing/recurring work
We have years of recorded material, Zoom calls, past interviews, event recordings, that has never been mined for shareable moments, plus new episodes coming in regularly. We're looking for someone to help this content find an audience: cutting new and archival recordings into short clips for social media, and helping shape how the show shows up across platforms.
What we're looking for: real comfort with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, posting, editing, and understanding what performs on each; patience for digging through long raw recordings to find the good parts (use of AI to sort through transcripts is encouraged); some sense of branding and visual identity; and a voice in how the show grows over time, not just what looks good in a single post. A feel for Buddhist or contemplative communities is a plus, not required. Likely a good fit for a younger community member or someone who already spends time making short-form content.
